2025 Ford Bronco Redesign and Update Plan

Exterior & Interior

The inside of the Ford Bronco is just as rough and retro-inspired as the outside, which is a great combination. As a whole, it’s an among the more distinctive cabins available; but, the models that receive an additional burst of color inside are quite remarkable. You can climb on (and stay put) with the help of rubber-lined grips; there are buttons with rubber encasings; auxiliary switches are mounted on the roof; the center console bin can be locked; the front seatbacks have MOLLE strap connectors; and there are storage containers for the entryways and roof panels with instructions on how to arrange them in the cargo area, just like a game of Tetris. 2025 Ford Bronco Specs2025 Ford Bronco Specs Interior

There is also an abundance of contemporary amenities to choose from, the most notable of which are those linked to the newest infotainment system from Ford, Sync 4, which is now standard in all Broncos and boasts a 12-inch touchscreen. While the Uconnect system in the Jeep Wrangler remains our favorite, Sync 4 is a pleasant and user-friendly alternative. But the computerized instrument cluster isn’t our cup of tea. On the left side, you’ll see a digital speedometer that mimics an analog one, and the most annoying part is the tachometer, which is a vertical bar graph showing your revolutions per minute divided by 1,000. While this wouldn’t be a problem in an automatic Bronco, shifting gears manually is too taxing on the mind, and the screen gets distorted in bright sunshine, which is common for convertibles. This design cannot be altered, even though it is digital. Thankfully, the Bronco Raptor’s gauges are more standard and have a completely digital display.

The poor quality of the materials used is the most noticeable flaw in the Bronco’s cabin. In our low-mileage test Bronco, the plastics in the cargo compartment were already rather harsh, and the rest of the plastic are firm and appear to be easily scratched. In the more expensive Bronco models, this will probably be more of an issue. We didn’t expect Land Rover quality in the Bronco, but it’s still not up to par with what you’re likely to find in a Wrangler or even a 4Runner. Another thing to keep in mind is that the plastic windows and cloth top that are available don’t always appear as well-done as the ones on the Wrangler.

Engine & Performance

Powering the vehicle are 275 horses plus 315 pound-feet of horsepower from the base 2.3-liter inline-four engine. The seven-speed manual transmission is the standard equipment, although it’s actually a mere six-speed with a crawler gear. With the smallest available axle ratio, it offers a crawl ratio of 94.75:1. On the other hand, the extra-cost 10-speed automatic transmission can attain a crawl ratio of 67.8:1, again depending on the optional axle. 2025 Ford Bronco Specs2025 Ford Bronco Specs

At the time of writing, EPA fuel efficiency numbers for 2025 were unavailable, but we will provide them throughout this section. It is highly unlikely that they would alter significantly from last year’s numbers. The 2.3-liter engine achieves the same fuel economy regardless of transmission, at 20 mpg in the city, 21 mpg on the highway, and 20 mpg combined. However, if you choose the Sasquatch package, which comes standard on the Black Diamond, Badlands, and Wildtrak trim levels, or if you go for the thick all-terrain tires, your fuel economy will decrease dramatically to 17-18 mpg combined. With a manual transmission, we were able to achieve 20 mpg during 258 miles of largely highway driving on a Black Diamond.

There are 315 horsepower and 415 pound-feet of torque from the 2.7-liter turbo V6. For the V6, a 10-speed automatic transmission is an absolute must. When using regular tires, fuel economy remains at 20 mpg, but when using fat tires, it reduces to 17 or 18 mpg. The V6 achieves nearly identical fuel efficiency to the four-banger—yes, you read that correctly.

Every Bronco comes standard with four-wheel drive, although Ford provides multiple grades, just like Jeep. An electronic, two-speed shift-on-the-fly transmission case with a low ratio of 2.72:1 is part of the basic system, while an additional 4A mode that switches between 2H and 4H mechanically when necessary is an optional extra. A Dana 44 rear differential with AdvanTEK devices as standard equipment and Spaulding Performa-TraK electronically locking units as an option is available. The differentials are manufactured by Dana.

Make your way to the Bronco Raptor. In addition to a 67.7:1 crawl ratio, locking front and rear differentials, a 10-speed automatic transmission, a 3.0-gallon turbocharged V6 engine producing 418 horsepower and 440 pound-feet of torque, and so on. The predicted 0-60 mph time is somewhere in the mid 6-second range; this is fast, but it won’t blow anyone away. In combined driving, you’ll get 15 mpg in the city, 16 on the highway, and 15 overall. Over the course of a weeklong test, we achieved around 16 mpg, with an additional 18 mpg on a highway journey of roughly 280 miles. 2025 Ford Bronco Specs

2025 Ford Bronco Safety Features

Automatic emergency braking, pedestrian detection, and forward collision warning are standard features on all 2025 Ford Broncos. Additionally, side curtain airbags are standard, which is unusual for a convertible but perfectly regular for an SUV. Also, unlike the Wrangler, which has detachable front doors, these have their side mirrors mounted directly to the body.2025 Ford Bronco Price

The Co-Pilot360 package, which is available on the majority of trim levels, includes lane-keeping assist, blind-spot and front cross-traffic warning systems, and more. The Outer Banks, Badlands, Wildtrak, Heritage, and Raptor all come with adaptive cruise control as part of the High/Lux package.

The Bronco received five stars for frontal and side collision protection from the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration. With a rollover score of four stars, it’s already impressive. All of its crash testing were rated “Good” by the Insurance Corporation for Highway Safety, the highest attainable rating. For incidents involving vehicles and pedestrians, its front crash prevention system was ranked second-best. It was not selected to be a Best Safety Pick due to its “Marginal” headlamp score. 2025 Ford Bronco Specs

2025 Ford Bronco Release Date & Price

Prices for Broncos, particularly the Raptor, tend to be overstated due to dealer markups, so you should treat these estimates with scepticism. The base, quoted MSRP does not include the insanely high destination tax of $1,895, which is necessary and is added to all prices below.

And now, a few things about the trim levels that follow. Except for the Raptor and Everglades, which only come with four doors, both body designs are offered on the same trim levels. To no one’s surprise, the base model is the stripped-down, classic Bronco. With the Big Bend, you have more features and possibilities. The Black Diamond is comparable in terms of comfort and convenience, but it includes additional off-road-oriented enhancements. Below is a photo of the Heritage Edition, a limited-edition model that builds on the Big Bend. It has distinctive, retro-inspired style and the Sasquatch package, more about which is explained below. With the addition of more road-oriented and somewhat opulent equipment, the Outer Banks maintains a standard mechanical configuration. The Badlands is the most extreme rock-crawler in the group, yet it still receives a lot of creature comforts.

Despite sharing many of the same features, the Wildtrak’s off-road trajectory is that of a faster desert runner powered by the normal V6. Even more powerful and featuring a revamped chassis and body, the new Bronco Raptor is a formidable desert runner. To put it simply, an Everglades is a Black Diamond that has had a Sasquatch package and some distinctive features added to its design. A 4.7:1 ultimate driving ratio featuring electronic-locking both front and rear axles, 17-centimeter aluminum wheels (beadlock capable), 35-centimeter tires, a high-clearance suspension, fender flares, and the Sasquatch package are readily accessible on most non-Raptor trim levels. 2025 Ford Bronco Specs
